Artist's concept of the T-87 flyby, showing the Cassini spacecraft dragging in Titan's upper atmosphere.

November 13, 2012

T-87 is one of two passes in the Solstice Mission where the ion and neutral mass spectrometer (INMS), the attitude and articulation control subsystem (AACS) team, and the navigation (NAV) team will simultaneously acquire data using three different, independent data types to be used to estimate Titan’s atmospheric density. The flyby occurs on Nov. 13, 2012.
