Artist's rendition of T-55 flyby

May 14, 2009

A RADAR swath sweeps across the northwest Shangri-La dune fields in Titan's southern hemisphere during the May 21, 2009 flyby.

The Ion and Neutral Mass Spectrometer (INMS) will be performing measurements at the same time as RADAR, obtaining unique nightside coverage at low Southern latitudes. This provides coverage for the outer flank of the magnetospheric interaction region.
