The organization that awards the Internet's equivalent of the Oscars recognized the Cassini Mission Website as an official nominee for the 2009 Science category. The Webby Award winners will be announced May 5, 2009.

As a nominee, the Cassini Mission Website is also eligible to win a Webby's People's Voice Award. This contest is open to the public and runs in parallel with the official judging process governed by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.

Fans are encouraged to sign up and vote for the Webby People's Voice Award at http://pv.webbyawards.com through April 30, 2009.

Other nominees in the Science category include Evidence: How Do We Know What We Know (Exploratorium), Nature.com (Nature Publishing Group), Scientific American (HUGE), and Wired.com: Wired Science (WIRED).

The main NASA Website (http://www.nasa.gov) is a nominee in the Government category.
