T-56: Titan's Mid-southern Latitudes at Dusk June 3, 2009 |
|
|
The Cassini spacecraft returns to Titan on June 6, 2009, for the mission's only dusk-side observation at mid southern latitudes. Scientist who study the magnetosphere and upper atmosphere need to see Titan at many times of day, including noon, dawn, and midnight, in order to characterize and understand how the interaction between Titan and Saturn unfolds.
