Naming Contest Rules

• This contest is open to everyone in the world, young and old.

• Entries can be submitted with or without a short explanation. There is no minimum length for these explanations.

• Name explanations must be written in English.

• Entries must be received by April 25, 2014.

• Participants agree to assign copyright to JPL, so that JPL and NASA can use the suggested name and the submitted explanations, whether in excerpts or in their entirety, on NASA web sites.

• The decision of the judges is final.

What do I get for entering the contest?
Everyone who enters the contest will receive a download of an electronic certificate of participation.

What do I get if I win the contest?
The winner(s) will get “bragging rights” – you get to tell your friends and family that the name for the most dramatic part of the Cassini mission was your idea.

Can I enter the contest more than once?
Yes.

How many winners will be selected?
Cassini managers will select one winning name. If more than one person or team submits the same winning name, then everyone who submitted that name is considered to be a winner.
