"Discovery consists in seeing what each one has, but thinking what no one else has thought.""

Titan holds a very amazing fact that several million years ago it resembled Earth. A peculiar question arises; "What happened in these years that Earth no longer resembles Titan????" This is where Cassini plays its role.

Titan is the largest of Saturn's satellites and the second largest in our solar system (after Ganymede, Jupiter's largest satellite). There can be many questions asked about Titan of its strange composition of organic matter, ethane, methane, ammonia as well as inorganic matter like water, argon etc. In fact this wide variety of carbon elements may bring out results about the presence of diamonds!! Titan's interesting features like lakes and rivers is that, they comprise not of water but of liquid ethane and methane.

One explanation to this focus is that the temperature of Titan (94 K) is close to the melting points of ethane and methane (89.7K and 91K respectively). This could be one of the reasons, why ethane and methane are found in liquid phase.

Titan still holds some properties of it which are similar to earth .Firstly; Titan is the only moon in the Solar System with a substantial atmosphere. Like Earth, Titan's atmosphere is primarily composed of nitrogen. Secondly, Titan also holds another interesting feature of volcanic eruptions. The only difference is that the volcanoes on Earth erupt molten rocks or lava, where as the volcanoes on Titan erupt liquid water, ammonia and methane. Lastly, Titan and Earth both share a common phenomenon of green house effect. This could eventually make the temperature on titan well-suited enough to sustain life. This close similarity can also give minute hints of presence of UFOs

When a person hears or reads about Titan, he or she can be intrigued by a lot of questions; why is there an abundance of organic compounds found on Titan? Where did all the organic matter come from? How come it has a dense atmosphere of nitrogen and not any other element? How is nitrogen present on Titan just like on Earth, even though the surface temperatures of the celestial bodies are so different? If Earth erupts molten rock from its volcanoes due to its core composition of magma, it can be possible that Titan erupts water, ammonia and methane because its core comprises of water, ammonia and methane.

So, NASA Target 3 is exactly what we are looking for, not because it's Saturn's moon, but because it's a new world of discovery. "
